Telesales Executive, £15k basic, £20-27k OTE, Waterlooville
Our client is a highly successful manufacturer of blinds and awnings. They have also developed their business offering window stylings to their customers.
With 350 staff, 80 of those work within the call centre covering hours between 9am and 8.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday.
The marketing team source data for potential customers and send them brochures. As a Tele-Marketing Operative, you are then responsible for following up the brochure, creating an interest and booking a home visit for one of the designers. Once the customer has agreed to a home visit, the call is then forwarded to the appointment team.
The call centre is a very busy, hectic, pressurised environment, yet offers lots of fun and enjoyment for the teams.
You are working with a dialler system which will put ringing calls through to your headset. These calls are analysed by a computer so that you receive the ones that you have shown the most success with. There are a number of data sources used, some 'harder' to covert to appointments than others. For those appointments made from the harder data, you will receive £10 in commission per appointment. For the easier data you will receive £6.50 per appointment. You have a 'dosh pot' on screen at all times to monitor your earnings.
You will be set targets daily, again, depending on what data you are using to gain your appointments. On average, you will be expected to book on appointment every 3 hours. Some data is 'warmer' than other data, for those appointments you will be targetd at 40 per week, for the 'colder' data you will be targeted at 12 per week.
For this role, it is not essential that you have any previous Tele-Marketing or Call Centre experience, however, it is essential that you have a positive outlook, are resilient, and highly professional.
You must also display some stability throughout your work history, be used to working to compliance (being shown a way of doing things and adhering to that way), be a team player, and maybe have some idea of working to targets whether it may be upselling as a waitor in a restaurant or cross selling as a sales assistant in a shop.
Our client runs monthly incentives where Tele-Marketers have the opportunity to win Red Letter Day Vouchers, 5* Trips to London, Weekends away etc.
On average, a Tele-Marketer will take home between £20k and £27k each year.
In return, our client offers 3 weeks of training in an academy, 3 days of which are classroom based. Then a further 3 weeks within a training team before you are live on the phones.
Our company offers a culture that is team orientated, social, motivational, and has values such as empowerment and fun. They always look to promote from within.
Every Tele-Marketer is expected to work at least 2 evenings and one day at the weekend.
The hours, however, are entirely negotiable around the candidate. Our client is happy to look at candidates who are happy to work anywhere between 16 and 40 hours per week.
The hourly rate is £7.28 per hour with a realistic OTE of £25k+. Paid weekly.
An extra £1 per hour is paid after 6pm and weekends, Time and a half is paid for bank holidays PLUS a day is given in lieu.
