Description:

We have an immediate requirement for a Module based engineer to give support in all aspects of production requirements. This position is based in our complex CNC machining (prismatics) area. 

Job Characteristics to include:
' Be the technical focal point and manufacturing engineering authority
' Identify and implement opportunities to reduce lead-times, costs and stocks through the application of better systems/practices/technology in accordance with the Manufacturing Strategy
' Quantify, justify and specify any changes to plant / equipment through to installation and commissioning
' Work and lead, (as required), lean events within the module
' Identify and assist with training needs as required (systems, best practice, techniques etc)
' Maintain accurate standards to support resource and capacity planning and product costing
' Play a leading role in evaluating manufacturing quality issues and implementing robust solutions
' Perform tasks to support and assist achievement of level 3 MPS in line with module objectives
' Collect Process FMEA data and identify potential risks/opportunities
' Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC)
' Interface with PIM teams on new products to ensure smooth introduction of new product lines
' Ensure all tooling is fit for purpose and establish maintenance plans where necessary
' Ensure all test equipment is to the latest standards ensuring obsolesence is catered for

' Committed to the introduction and development of best practice manufacturing and engineering techniques ' lean manufacturing; single piece flow; takt time, Kaizen
' Enthusiastic and dynamic about team working and willing to contribute to the continued development of small focused teams
' Capable of using a wide variety of computing equipment/systems (MPS; CINCOM; Microsoft etc)
' Awareness of EH&S Reg's & ISO requirements
