Our client in North Wales are seeking a Process Control Supervisor towork from their manufacturing site using highly automated process technology.
Our manufacturing processes entail controlling production and packing of high quality food, processing of the food, followed by automated cleaning processes, which adhere to strict food industry standards.
You will be responsible for assisting with the running of the state of the art production facility, whilst ensuring strict quality assurance and Health & Safety standards are adhered to.
To achieve this, you will:
• Strive to improve productivity and cost reduction through control of waste and losses, eg water, detergents, raw materials, energy etc.
• Deputise for the Production Manager during his absence
• Monitor production efficiencies, product yields and production costs
Plan, order and control all production raw materials, packaging and detergents
• Control and supervise production staff on a day to day basis
•Ensure effective training of Production staff, ensuring staff are aware of and comply with Company Health and Safety Policies and Practices
• Assist in effective implementation of the site Quality Policy and Objectives
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Management targets
• Develop and nurture an ethos of continuous improvement within the workforce.
The ideal candidate will have previous automated manufacturing process experience, coupled with sound IT skills. The ability to diagnose process faults and work on your own initiative is essential, together with attention to detail. An engineering background would also be desirable and someone from a food background would also be an advantage.
The role though based on days, will entail occasional shift working from time to time, where required.
24 holidays per year rising to 27 plus statutory days and other benefits.
