Development Engineer
If you are a Development Engineer with a mechanical engineering background; experience in Pro-Engineer Wildfire 3.00 and the ability to deliver results on time and in budget, this could be a great opportunity for you to progress your career in an organisation offering challenges and variety.This is a role which will initially be offered for a period of 6 months with a possibility of extension according to project requirements.
Our client is an established leading developer of control and quality solutions for the packaging industry. A number of their products are regarded as industry standard and world leaders in their field. With excellent R&D and manufacturing facilities they have acquired a strong reputation for both technical innovation and customer service.
They are now seeking a Development Engineer who is able to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate mechanical engineering analytical capability to deliver a range of technically challenging projects. In particular:
* To contribute to the successful development of new products in accordance with the commercial needs of the business.
* To contribute to the further development of existing products.
* To contribute to the maintenance of existing products, maximising product life and robustness, and minimising manufacturing costs.
In addition to your design tasks, you will be expected to contribute to the development and maintenance of internal processes, procedures and standards as deemed necessary.
As well as your technical skills, you must be an effective communicator. Analytical and broad thinking you will be able to use your understanding of engineering principles & methods to find cost effective solutions to problems.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business.
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable. Experience of Wildfire 3 and Pro-Engineer is essential.
