A Senior Low Carbon Consultant is required to join this expanding multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy based in Leeds.
Ideal candidates for this role will hold a Degree in a related field (Building Services, Environmental, Engineering), and ideally be chartered (but not essential). Those who are qualified assessors of EPCs, BREEAM, Code for Sustainable homes advantageous, CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant qualification desirable.
Previous experience in the field of carbon and energy consultancy is anticipated, the successful candidate is likely to be a competent user of IES, SBEM, and hold knowledge of TAS, CYMAP, and also hold detailed knowledge of Part L building regs. A demonstrable good knowledge of current sustainability and energy issues, and the ability to run a team and manage projects is necessary.
Duties of the role Include:
- Providing advice on Low carbon technologies and policies
- Energy modelling of buildings and sites
- Identifying emissions saving opportunities, renewable energy opportunities for clients
- Working on projects including individual buildings, and large sites and developments
- Collaborating with staff from other disciplines
- Project management, budget and time controls
- Advising clients on strategies and technologies, also cost and benefits of projects
As a Senior Low Carbon Consultant you will join the team based in Leeds and provide specialist advice to clients from varying sectors.
A Low Carbon Consultant will provide advice and guidance on technical and behavioural energy management, low carbon strategies and policies and energy efficient equipment including Renewables.
You will provide advice in the construction and development areas, as well as renewable and energy saving advice to existing buildings. You will identify further emissions and energy savings opportunities, providing specialist advice to clients with regards to relevant policies and strategies.
Clients who you will work with include private and public sector bodies and industry.
Managing staff and projects, you will manage time scales and budgets, and ensure the projects are completed successfully, also producing clear and concise written reports for clients.
With your interest in the sustainability area, you will seek to continue to enhance and further your skills and relevant qualifications, also mentoring and developing the other members of your team.
