This rapidly expanding Communications Company located in the beautiful South West of England are seeking a well qualified Embedded Software Engineer with expert knowledge of MAC software development in 802.11. 802.16 or similar.
Ideally qualified to Masters level in Computer Science, Electronics or Communications Engineering subject, you will ideally have several years proven industrial experience of developing wireless and networking products.
Excellent C and C++ programming skills and a good understanding of real-time operating systems such as VxWorks are highly desirable and system level knowledge of wireless networking would be an asset.
The successful candidate will work on the design and architecture of real-time MAC software based on 802.16 standards as well as developing and testing the required software code in a high level embedded language. The ability to develop test routines in C, C++, Perl, Python or Assembly to debug would be advantageous.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
Strong C and C++ Programmer.
Experience of MAC software development.
Familiarity with Networking Standards and stacks.
Real-Time operating systems such as VxWorks.
Embedded software development tools.
