AREA SUPPORT STAFF x 2 PLYMOUTH THE COMPANY

JOB PURPOSE
To provide Security and Support Duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client and The Corps requirements.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
To work at various different client locations covering site day/night shift as required by the Area Office and in fulfilment of contractual weekly hours to include:
Day shift duties:
• To patrol premises and specified areas as requested in assignment instructions. • To issue temporary staff passes and alert the host of visitors arrival. • To maintain the daily log sheet. • To receive and record parcels and post from couriers etc, contacting the recipients and arranging prompt delivery. • To monitor the CCTV system. • To respond to e-mails sent to the Security team regarding security issues. • To sign in contractors and advising the host of their arrival and issuing keys in respect to the above. • To assist in weekly fire alarm tests. • To allow access to restricted access areas to approved personnel as required. • To respond and react to any incidents that occur.
Night shift duties:
• To conduct regular patrols of the premises. • To maintain the daily log sheet. • To sign authorised cleaning staff and contractors in and out of the building and issuing / returning any relevant keys. • To secure the premises and setting and un-setting of alarms as specified in site assignment instructions. • To allow access to authorised staff attending site out of hours and checking ID passes. • To ensure the lifts are operational. • To deal with all incoming calls via the switchboard system for out of hours calls. • Carry out random bag searches of cleaning staff and other specified personnel. • To log system faults that occur with the Helpdesk and advising relevant contractors / engineers. • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the client estates and / or The Corps.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Must be educated to GCSE level Computer literate Experience in a customer facing role - must have worked in a services sector Own transport is essential Excellent communication skills Flexible and adaptable Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
