Distribution Team Leader

As such, we are seeking a Distribution Team Leader to supervise a number of distribution assistants ensuring that team members carry out all aspects of the distribution process in line with current best practice and to NET-A-PORTER’s stringent standards. Also ensuring that resources are allocated in such a way that work is prioritised to meet time lines and is completed with in agreed levels of service, thereby exceeding expectations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure that NET-A-PORTER levels of quality are maintained at all times.
- To ensure that all staff are properly trained to carry out the duties assigned to them.
- Monitor the performance of staff in your area and feed back results.
- Maintain good working relations with your own team, and other departments by communicating effectively.
- Be proactive in approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Ensure staff are gainfully employed at all times
- Manage performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Enhance the working environment through building a cohesive, productive and positive team atmosphere.
- Promote a continuous improvement environment
- Effectively support decisions made by the business and your managers.

Essential Skills and Requirements
- Proven commerical experience of managing/leading teams in a warehouse/logistics environment
- Significant experience of motivating teams to achieve deadlines in a target-driven environment
- Experience of performance management, coaching and mentoring
- Strong track record of delivering quantifiable results in the workplace
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in addition to self-motivate when working autonomously
- Highly computer literate
- Numerate
