Demonstrable experience in integrating complex systems via EAI / ESB and via adapter development

• Deep application component modelling and application integration experience
• Deep understanding of Mainframe, Distributed and Service-oriented architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices, including SOA, web services, ESB, SOAP, XML, MQ series
• Leading integration technologies i.e. BEA weblogic , IBM Websphere IBM integration software products( nice to have) , WebSphere Message Broker (v5 & v6.1), WebSphere MQ (v5.3 & v6) tibco , webmethods ,SAP
• Deep knowledge and experience of web, client server and mainframe based technologies and best practice approaches
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman
• Broad knowledge of application software products
• Experience planning and delivering architecture assessments
• Experience building strategic roadmaps for implementation
• Understanding of development and project management processes and methodologies Proven experience as a technical member of a project or team, working as an architect
• Financial services / Insurance knowledge, including business processes
• Broad knowledge of architecture models ( Distributed Computing, EAI, SOA, ESB )

Responsibilities

As Enterprise Integration Architect (Core Applications) your main responsibilities will involve:

Modelling and maintaining blueprints of the enterprise environment

• Participating in the development of technology plans and roadmaps
• Advising on services, components, standards, assets and frameworks required to support the architecture & business strategy
• Producing, maintaining and monitoring adherence to IS Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines through appropriate architecture governance
• Fostering the development of a centre of excellence in Enterprise Architecture and ensuring that appropriate architecture designs are produced
• Taking responsibility for the technical correctness and completeness of high-level system designs
• Ensuring that the IS strategy is aligned to the business strategy
