Accounts Assistant/ £19k/London/ Global Travel Company/purchase ledger

My client is a global travel company based in London who is seeking an Accounts assistant, to provide administrative support. The department are responsible for processing invoices from overseas suppliers, arranging supplier payments and general purchase ledger transactions together with administrative duties and answering queries from staff and suppliers.

·You will work closely with Head of Finance ensuring that all payments are processed in a timely fashion.

·You will regularly liaise with staff members and suppliers to ensure any queries are answered and dealt with promptly.

·As the department processes a high volume of transactions, s/he must work efficiently and be focused on the operational deadlines.

• Regular monitoring of key accounts to ensure that payments are made in accordance with the contractual and booking terms
• Ensure payments are made accurately and promptly

• Answer queries from staff and suppliers
• Running ad hoc accounts reports as required
• Prompt, polite and professional answering of telephone calls
• Accounts administration and other office duties as required
