Store Manager - Non Food Retailer

Our client is one of the most successful non food retailers in the UK and is enjoying rapid growth.
Their success has been achieved by offering customers a wide range of products, always at great value prices. They are currently looking for a Store Manager to join the team.
Key Responsibilities - Store Manager:
- Drive sales
- Ensure strong merchandising levels
- Provide excellence in customer service
- Ensure all aspects of loss prevention are understood by staff
- Maintain 2 way communication between staff and senior management
- Staff review meetings
- Budget control
- Be a good representative of the company
- Ensure daily action plan is taken out by the team
- Open and close store in times agreed by Area Manager
- Maintain high level of staff performance
- Staff development
- Approve and authorise all holidays taken by staff
Key Attributes - Store Manager:
- Previous retail management experience, either as Store Manager, Branch Manager, Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Experience in leading and motivating staff
- Strong communication / customer service / organisational skills
- Managerial skills in retail: recruitment, performance management, health & safety, security
- Working knowledge of payroll and cash handling
- Excellent track record of achievement: maximising sales and achieving / surpassing targets
