Transport Planner - South Lincolnshire - 6 month Interim Role- Immediate start
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner on a 6 month contract for a prestigious multi-sited logistics company in the south Lincolnshire area. Commutable from Peterborough, Spalding, Bourne, Grantham, Holbeach, Wisbech and Sleaford.
Role-
Reporting to the Planning Manager this is a key role within the business where you will be responsible for the day to day planning of this fast moving transportdepartment. Responsible for planning up to 80 delivery routes daily. Using transport planning software specific to the business, ensuring that the most cost effective and time efficient routes are planned to achieve agreed customer service levels to their impressive clients.
Person-
- Highly IT literate, with experience using transport planning software
- Experience within a similar role
- Willing to work weekends and shifts
- Highly determined
- Time management focused
- Cost focused
The successful candidate would have a strong background within transport operations preferably within a large 50+ vehicle FMCG operation.
