Our client is looking for an experienced and highly-motivated Internal Communications Manager, who will continue to improve and develop communications and engagement with their 1,400 employees and volunteers based in the UK and around the world.

Hours: Part-time (22.5 hrs a week) or Full-Time (37.5 hrs a week)
Contract: Maternity Cover / 12 Months Fixed-Term
Salary: £40,239 - £ 42,428 FTE (£24,143 - £25,456) Inclusive of London Weighting

Our client is a charity dedicated to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. Through their zoos in London and Bedfordshire and their science and conservation work in the field, they are making a vital difference in the fight to save species from extinction. With a large and diverse workforce growing both in the UK and overseas, good internal communications are fundamental to keeping our teams informed and motivated.
This is a senior and sensitive role within the Communications team, requiring judgement, discretion, creativity and a passion for internal communications.
This relatively new role reports into our Head of Communications, but also works very closely with our HR Director and team, as well as the wider Leadership Team.
Two key projects for the next 12 months will include co-leading on the creation of the organisation’s new Digital Workplace and launching their new strategy.

Most of all you will have a can-do attitude and be passionate about communications, with a keen understanding of how it can benefit an organisation like our client - and have the skills to make it happen.
Please note: Our client is open to the idea of having someone take on the Maternity Cover on a Part-time (22.5 hrs a week) or Full-Time (37.5 hrs a week) basis for a 12 month period. This post will also be based at the organisation's offices in NW1 but may also require working away from the main office, either in Bedfordshire LU6 or be required to carry out visits to external conferences.
