The Company

Newly Weds Foods is a BRC accredited market leading specialist manufacturer of coatings, seasonings and flavorings for the food industry supplying a diverse range of products to major manufacturers throughout the world.

The Role

Due to increasing volumes, fantastic opportunities have arisen for additional multi skilled Engineering Technicians to join the Engineering Team at our Banbury plant.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled and motivated, focused on continuous improvement and will be responsible for delivering effective maintenance to the plant.

Hours of work:

The successful candidates will work an average of 42 hours per week, a 12 hour shifts on a 3/2 pattern - the shift pattern never exceeds 3 shifts.

Prime Responsibilities

·To maintain plant & equipment to ensure it performs to necessary efficiency standards to comply with company policies, procedures and standards.

·To assist the Engineering Manager with plant improvements and ensure minimal downtime through effective planned maintenance.

·Manage and improve standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, quality and food safety

·Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.

·Support the achievement of customer service levels and production plan.

·Adapt an ‘Always Audit Ready’ approach.

·Ensure engineering stock is kept up to date and at the required stock levels.

·Implementation of hygiene and health & safety regulations

·Factory start up/machine testing

·Ensure all maintenance records are recorded on the CMMS system

Personal Specification

·Time served qualified engineering technician, with PLC experience and qualification.

·17th Edition Electrical Certificate

·Ability to weld (TIG,MMA)

·Good diagnostic skills

·Minimum of 3 years of troubleshooting and repair experience within an FMCG manufacturing or Industrial processing environment.

·Experience & Knowledge of delivering CI activities.

·Extensive experience and knowledge of Engineering stores, stock management and preventative maintenance.

·Conversant with Mainsaver CMMS software.

·BTEC/C&G or equivalent in Engineering.

·Must be Fluent in English at a Technical level.

·Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills

·Able to write technical reports and present information to external parties and key stakeholders.

·Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.

·Demonstrate effective analytical & problem solving skills within a manufacturing environment.

·Driven and determined to deliver results on time and to budget.

·Calm and professional demeanor who leads by example and builds relationships with key stakeholders.

·Able to demonstrate aptitude and ability in all technical aspects of the role.

·Competent technician who is skilled in their field and willingly shares their expertise with others to achieve results.
