Senior HR Business Partner (12 Month Maternity Cover)

  • Spitfire Park, Birmingham (B24), B24 9FD
  • Pension Discount Schemes Child Care Vouchers

Where does this role fit in?

Ok, so this isn't going to be your typical HR Business Partner role. If you love structure, processes, and a solid corporate environment, look away now.

This is a true HR generalist position and you'll have your finger in many pies, and cake (We Love Cake!). You can switch between Employee and Manager Adviser, international payroll expert, trainer, manager, confidant, and part-time comedian.

For us to give you a solid idea of your day-to-day responsibilities, we'd need to be mind-readers. Here is an ever-changing environment, and as the HR Business Partner you'll need to keep up with that and managing changing priorities and direction on a daily basis. If anything, that's what drives you a sense of the unknown and the ability to adapt.

What you will be doing is executing the HR strategy at an operational level to ensure the business continues to develop its people in line with business needs. As well as payroll & MI reporting, employee engagement, employee relations, policies & process, learning & development and of course, any project work as directed by the business.

You'll also have a team of four to manage: a London-based HR Business Partner, a straight talking, jazzy-shirt wearing HR professional; a Trainee Advisor, your quirky, awfully-bad-at-singing, life saver who's there to support you in your day-to-day whenever you need it; an HR Intern, our protégé who will be eager to learn from your experience; and last, but by no means least, your ever-so-slightly eccentric Recruitment Manager* with a taste for bad jokes, pacing around on the phone, and far too much coffee.

* A prerequisite of applying is that the Recruitment Manager must be your favourite… and not just because he's written this advert… promise.

So, what can I expect in return?

On top of a competitive salary, you can expect:

  • 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Tons of discounts
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Employee Assistance Programme
