Project Finance Accountant

CGN Green Power is currently seeking a professional accountant and financier. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a high performing finance function, offering an excellent opportunity to develop and progress your career. Building upon your experience in financing, you will be riding on the growing importance of renewable energy within the CGN Group. Ideally, you should be comfortable working within a large and internationally-reaching organization and accustomed to dealing with regulatory and procedurally challenging entities and handling many interesting projects simultaneously. Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly reporting of various portfolios; tracking project progress and producing report commentary to senior management
  • Undertake cost analysis and support cost saving initiatives
  • Manage all transactions of projects, including dealing and liaising with banks, other financing partners and internal/external service providers
  • Implement and improve financial KPI reporting for the entire portfolio
  • Set annual budgets and lead on periodic forecasting
  • Oversee and develop project financing solutions for existing and potential portfolios
  • Create and negotiate financing contracts through effective collaboration with external consultants
  • Liaise with the external lenders to manage ongoing covenant tests
  • Update financial models for different projects using Excel
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with good academic record
  • Strong monthly reporting experience, including producing high-level variance analyses
  • Analytical, organized,self-motivated and target-driven
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, especially in a multicultural environment
  • Proficient in MS-Office skills
  • Willing to travel across Europe

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience within the energy business, exposure to renewable energy, M&A or project finance transactions
  • Experience in an infrastructure corporate finance, project finance lending, transaction management or advisory team
  • Track record in adding value, driving performance improvement, and implementing efficiencies
  • Additional European language other than English
