Supervisor: Job Overview
In the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for effective running of the shop floor and for the opening/closing functions.
The Supervisor is responsible for managing staff, replenishment and merchandising; ensuring the shop floor is well-presented to customers to maximize sales and the store team delivers professional, friendly and timely customer service.
Supervisor: Key Responsibilities
•Under guidance of the Store / Assistant Manager prepare the daily floor plans
•Working with Store Management to ensure that the store runs smoothly
•Be able to independently run the shop floor in absence of Store/ Assistant Manager
•Delegating tasks to Sales Assistants and supporting them when needed to achieve objectives set on the daily floor plan
•Assist with stock deliveries, picking stock from the warehouse and bringing it to the shop floor and pricing stock
•Accurately operate the tills ensuring credit card and cash payments are done efficiently and without error
•Ensure cashing up procedures are followed strictly when responsible for cashing up
•Develop good product knowledge and be ready to assist customers by providing them with product knowledge when appropriate
•Ensure Flying Tiger Copenhagen merchandising guide lines are fully implemented on a daily basis
•Ensure merchandising is proactively planned in line with ordering
•Ensure that our products are immaculately displayed, priced correctly and replenished in a timely fashion
•Ensure relevant reactive action is carried out as a consequence of daily changes to sales patterns
•Review the whole store on a daily basis to check whether displays need replacing and decide on appropriate new displays to replace it
•Deputizing in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Manager, taking responsibility for store opening and closing procedures, cashing up and banking activities
•Coach and mentor Sales Assistants under the guidance of the Store Manager and Deputy Manager
•Working as a team, providing cover for colleagues as necessary
Supervisor: The Person
•Minimum of 2 years management experience in a fast-paced company
•Organized with proven ability to prioritize and lead a team
•Flexible and adaptable in your approach with the ability to multi-task
•Self-managed and able to hit the ground running
•Good problem solving and decision making skills
•Excellent communication and coaching skills via written (including MS Outlook, Excel and Word) and spoken English
•Ability to build a quick and strong rapport with other individuals
•Flexible with hours and peak periods of work essential
