THE ROLE: The role of Sales Engineer will see you covering a geographical patch that spans from the South West along the M.4 corridor. Selling a range of equipment used on process and production lines, your market sectors will consist of Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, Aerospace and General Manufacturing. The role of Sales Engineer is mainly an account management position, about 90% account development where you will be selling your mechanical solutions to Maintenance Engineers, Engineering Managers, Maintenance Managers and Production Directors. With order sizes coming in at around £20K this is very much a project based sell where you will be required to understand your clients production requirements.
THE PERSON: In order to be considered for the role of Sales Engineer you must have sold to manufacturers as an end user. Full product training is on offer to the successful candidate so it does not matter what you have previously sold, however, your experience will be within mechanical sales. So, if you have sold any product or solution into a manufacturer then this could be an ideal position for you.
