Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical)
£35,000 - £45,000 + Pension + Holiday + Early finish on a Friday
Senior Design Engineer required for an innovative company who are currently designing, researching and developing a range of new products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical design engineer looking for a new, exciting role within a fast growing research and development company. You will hold a degree in mechanical engineering, or relative discipline. The company are extremely open in terms of industry background, you must however have experience of high speed rotating machines and SolidWorks. Those with experience of electric motors and experience working within the automotive industry will be at a strong advantage.
The role itself is working within a growing team of 18 consisting of engineers and physicists. You will be responsible for designing environmentally friendly products for a wide range of industries. You will predominantly focus on high speed rotating equipment and electrical motors. You will be responsible for both concept and re-modification, you will be drafting and designing using 3D CAD and SolidWorks. The company are currently in the research and development phase, in time the company will manufacture their own products.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for meeting with clients, presenting their findings and generating BOM’s. When designing products you will be responsible for geometric tolerance and finite element analysis, you will then assemble the products and deal with key suppliers.
