“Social mobility: Steps for boosting opportunity in the workplace” on-demand webinar and slides

In this recorded webinar with The Social Mobility Foundation, we present new research on how a person's socioeconomic background can impact their career success – from access to job opportunities, to career confidence and earning potential – and discuss with a panel of experts what employers can do to level out the playing field and boost socioeconomic diversity across their business.

About the webinar

A person’s socioeconomic background should never determine their career success. But for many in the UK, it does. In fact, three-quarters (74%) of people believe there’s a large opportunity gap in the UK, with only a third (35%) saying that everyone is given a ‘fair chance’ to progress in their career through hard work alone.

Join Totaljobs and the Social Mobility Foundation during this recorded session as they present research on how a person’s socioeconomic background can impact their working life, and outline the practical steps businesses like yours can take to ensure that everyone – regardless of social background or class – can apply, advance, and feel accepted within the workplace.

Webinar guest include:

  • Ray’n Terry, HR Director at Totaljobs
  • Sarah Atkinson, Chief Executive at the Social Mobility Foundation
  • Raj Morjaria, Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Direct Line
  • Hollie Crompton, Social Mobility Lead, PwC
