Company information: Information for Applicants

From the moment you first make contact with your local Branch of Travail you'll notice the difference!

Our helpful, well-trained staff will offer friendly advice and take a real interest in you, and what you want from your next job.

You'll be invited to give us information about you, either by completing an Application Form or, in some instances, by providing us with a copy of your C.V. We will also need some supporting documentation from you which all professional Agencies should ask you for (it's the law!). Don't worry if you don't have the right documents, we're here to help, and we will advise you of your options if the need arises.

When we have this information from you, we will be able to start telling you about some of the opportunities (Temporary or Permanent) we are currently assisting local Employers with, and we will help you decide which of these best suits you and your needs.

We like to offer you the "personal touch" nothing is more infuriating than your chosen Agency not keeping you informed of what is happening with your application. Work with us closely and we will return the commitment to you!

For Permanent positions, when we arrange interviews for you, you will be given all of the information you might need to prepare for the meeting. We will even give you some helpful advice on Interview Techniques, so that you perform with confidence and show your next Employer why he should be offering you that job "on the spot"! (You might like to know that we also help some Employers with their interview techniques!) When it comes to negotiating that all-important job-offer, we will liase between you and the Employer to make sure you're happy with their intended offer before you receive something formal from them in the post. This means that we are usually in the privileged position of being the first to congratulate you!

For Temporary Job opportunities, we will give you a full briefing on the work to be done, the environment, the pay, and what to expect and then you will report for work at a date and time to suit you and our Client, very often without the need for further formal interview. It's really simple! You can expect for us to be in touch over the course of the first few days to make sure you're happy in your Temporary job. You'll be paid weekly every Friday, and we can pay direct into your Bank or Building Society Account. And don't worry, if your work comes to an end, we make it our priority to find a new job for you as quickly as we can!
