Clinical duties: Liaise in a timely manner with clinicians, general practitioners and health protection team in regards to diagnosis and management of patients with infections. Take on responsibility for specific clinical areas in the Trust on a two-month rotational basis, e.g., Critical care (general and neurosurgical and high dependency) (neonatal), haematology /oncology, A&E; medical/surgical wards and admission units, regular and/or ad hoc visits to wards, support for cancer services, departmental commitment to infection control and support for the local Health Protection Team.
