Economist

Dr. Christina Langer is an economist specializing in the future of work. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Stanford Digital Economy Lab, within the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI, , she conducts data-intensive research on generative AI adoption, workforce skills evolution, and structural labour market changes. ​Her work has been published in international academic outlets and featured in media inlcudingThe New York Times. She has presented at international conferences, collaborated with institutions including Harvard University, the UCL School of Management, the Institute for Employment Research, and the ifo Institute, and received multiple dissertation awards. In her talks, she combines scientific evidence with clear, practical insights.

Luke Mckend
Managing Director

Luke Mckend is Managing Director at Totaljobs, having previously led the UK Talent Solution business London at LinkedIn. He led the Emerging Markets group at LI and launched the Academic and Government vertical for EMEA and Latam. Prior to that Luke spent 10 years at Google, initially leading the UK Classifieds ads team, then going on to become the Country Lead for South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa. His 25 years of experience included a stint in the start-up world with i-Grasp. He also was a non exec director at Hippo, the largest insurance comparison site in Africa.

Julius Probst
European labor economist at Appcast

Julius Probst is the European labour economist at Totaljobs. He did his M.Sc. in Economics with a specialisation in macroeconomics and his PhD in Economic History at Lund University in Sweden. During his PhD, he also worked as a researcher for the European Central Bank.
