Totaljobs Group shares our approach to recruitment best practice in 2021 edition of The Parliamentary Review

Totaljobs Group has been recognised as a best practice representative for the 2021 edition of The Parliamentary Review; an independent publication which looks at how key British organisations are responding to different political and economic challenges.

Success for organisations of any size does not always come easily, and The Parliamentary Review is indispensable for anyone who seeks to make a difference in their sector. It highlights significant developments and concerns for leaders up and down the country, particularly now, as restrictions begin to ease and employers look to get business back on track. At Totaljobs Group, we’re proud to have been given the opportunity to share more about what makes our business tick, how our teams have innovated in the face of Covid-19 and, ultimately, our vision for the future.

The values driving Totaljobs Group in 2021 and beyond

Our business exists to help people access meaningful employment – whatever that might mean for them. Naturally, as part of this, we help employers to see the difference the right hire can make. Below are the values that drive our teams and sit at the centre of everything we do.

Candidate-first approach

Our guiding principle is to help people find a job they love. This could be an in-between job, or a lifelong career; either way, this aim steers our decision-making and enables us to connect employers with the right candidates.

Connect with the right audience

Totaljobs Group consists of eleven brands in the UK; each of them speaking to employers and candidates in a unique way, bringing their own perspective to the nuances of the recruitment market. Within the Totaljobs network, Jobsite, CityJobs, RetailChoice, eMedCareers, CareerStructure and JustEngineering host sector-specific roles. Our Group is completed by hospitality specialists Caterer.com and CatererGlobal, IT and tech experts CWJobs, and graduate-focused Milkround.

Fair pricing model

We’re taking steeps to create a fairer recruitment marketplace, meaning every customer benefits equally from the hiring solutions we offer across the Totaljobs Group. A knock-on effect of this will mean a better experience for the people searching for their next role on one of our sites.

Innovation at our heart

The Covid-19 pandemic made quick-thinking and adaptability essential for UK businesses, no matter their remit. We continuously invest into product development, understanding the changing needs of the market and how we can shift in response, to ensure we are always supporting employers and candidates alike.

Most recently, we launched Totaljobs Performance to this end, allowing businesses to have greater control of their recruitment spend. Instead of paying to advertise a job on any of our platforms, employers now have the option of paying for each application they receive, while flexing their recruitment budget with the ebbs and flows of their needs.

Championing equality, diversity and fairness

We are committed to looking inward, listening and learning from our employees. We want to ensure our workplace is one where people feel they can bring their whole selves to work, a place where differences are not merely tolerated, but celebrated and valued in their diversity. With this, we hope to work alongside other UK employers to ensure equal opportunity and inclusion for all.

More about The Parliamentary Review

The publication is apolitical and reviews the latest events in parliament from a non-partisan perspective. The organisations who write for The Review are – for the most part – apolitical themselves, although some are unapologetically forthright with their views of certain political parties or individuals. This makes for a fascinating series of articles to suit your tastes and challenge your convictions.
